Belletti wins stage three in Turkey

Italian Manuel Belletti produced a perfectly timed sprint finish to win the third stage of the Tour of Turkey in Marmaris.

The Colnago-CSF Inox rider overhauled Diego Milan Jimenez in the final hundred metres of the 166km stage, which started in Bodrum, to take the stage and also move to the top of the general classification.

Robert Ferrari of Androni Giocattoli finished second while Australian Wesley Sulzberger of FDJ took third place.

Specialist sprinter Alessandro Pettacchi continued to endure a frustrating tour as he only managed a fourth-placed finish while Andre Greipel finished back in ninth.

Stage four sees the riders tackle a 209km route from Marmaris to Pamukkale with another sprint finish at the end, the last before the Tour enters the mountains.
